A plein air oil painted from the back of The Bear Hotel car-park on Rodborough Common, looking towards Wales. I loved the mistiness of the wood in the foreground as it was shedding its canopy. Shafts of sun lit up the mid-distance fields. A flat-white coffee was very welcome in the lovely bar afterwards.
